Eyepieces: Bino-Lites^TM

The Burgess Optical Bino-Lites^TM are ultra-light eyepieces ideally suited for use with our binoviewers. The combination of our light binoviewers and these eyepieces will allow two-eyed viewing without causing balance problems in Dobsonian reflectors.

The Bino-Lites have only 3 elements to provide very bright views. Less glass means less distortion and light loss.

• Reversible barrels

One nice feature is that these eyepieces have a reversible undercut barrel. With the undercut next to the eyepiece body, the undercut provides a safety feature for securing the eyepiece to the telescope.

In some cases, the undercut interfers with the functioning of binoviewers, focusers, and/or diagonals. Any interference due to the undercut is easily remedied! The barrel unscrews from the eyepiece body and can be turned over and screwed back into place. By reversing the barrel position, the undercut is moved well below its normal position and the smooth section of the eyepiece barrel can be easily gripped with setscrews and compression rings.
